Land Rover Discovery 1 – SUV Decidedly British
It is not uncommon for vehicles that have become popular to have a high return range. This is the line Range Rover introduced in 1970 for the Land Rover. In the late '80s, when the Land Rover Series III ended its life cycle after 40 years on the road.

In essence, the basic structure of the Interior was Range Rover with the equipment and instrumentation taken from the Maestro and Montego Rover line. Its exterior has also been borrowed by other vehicles like the Rover's flagship Rover freight and taillight Maestro van.
Other features
Before 1994, the Discovery 1 came with a choice of the 2.5 TDI diesel 3.5 liter engine or V8. Discover 2.0 litter was introduced to attract the market for users of the fleet and receive tax relief on cars with engine capacities below and such, but it was eventually abandoned because it lacked power for heavy bodies to explore.
