The beauty of the line was extremely important to the craftsman wood that was heavy ornaments. This was in sharp contrast with the fashionable furniture that had been created since the restoration in Europe. Many of Queen Anne furniture was made without stretchers that disrupted flow curves. This style is usually done with everything on veneers, primarily of nuts, which include the beautiful wood grain. The only decorative features retained from earlier styles was the cross-banding and feather that has defined the limits of the drawer and door panels and restricted use of sculpture in detail, including coverage on the chests. When used, small amounts of sculpture adorned the laps of the chair legs, ledges and cabinets for the library, the sides of card tables and chairs support and day beds. These decorative forms included Coquille St. Jacques shells, lion masks, cartridges, ball ornaments and scrolls.

Tallboys, vanity mirrors, tables, chests and other items used heavy coverage ball, rounded, ogee, support and foot support panels. Cover design coffers were later given mainly brace, bracket or foot ball. Chairs, table tripod, couches and tables to cards used pad, claw and ball, scroll and paw feet. Libraries and cabinets is went through three different phases cornice. The first was a good, graceful form, the second was a Roman influence and the third was known as the neck swan.
The most characteristic part of the Queen Anne was strapped to the president claims. The new president also known as a folded-back is a very comfortable seat. He had a solid splat-back that curves to fit the spine and the occupants cabriolet legs. Carving was used sparingly. A shell is sometimes added to the slide of headquarters and other drawings have been added on the knees of the chair legs. The arm of the chair also differs from the termination is the scroll, shepherd's crook, head lion or eagle head design.
