Travelling in Europe or the USA?
I am a complete newcomer to travel, but as this is my dream, I want to go and save the summer '09 For a month. A couple of friends may be interested in coming along but I can not count on it .. so I was perhaps considering buying a "road pure and simple" and therefore, for many countries. Contiki.com doing great. Is it more profitable, or is it better to be inter-rail malarchy inn?? Please help! I am interested in Western Europe and South America-LA to NY Ps I'm British.
Either can be good … I mostly stay in hostels and I made the classic trip through Europe via InterRail in March. Was fun … The only downside though is that you have to cover much ground to make a profitable InterRail Pass and I am a little sick of Trains at the end. You more freedom with passes, but you have fewer things to worry about a tour. Also with hits that you stay with a group of people set for a longer period of time (in my personal experience the interesting people I meet in hostels tend to move in the opposite direction I will …) As regards Europe vs. USA … Both can be fascinating. When you say LA to NY do you mean Los Angeles or Louisiana? The only drawback to do in the United States in a vacation is that much of central Canada is not that interesting … You have to go do things like California and the Grand Canyon before dying, but Nebraska and Missouri and Texas Panhandle can jump very well. I recommend doing one side or the other, or theft of one another instead of driving … Regarding costs are you concerned at least do not need tickets expensive to get to Europe.
