British Rail Online Tickets

Why do some non-US (mostly non-Western) The airlines still have windows in the downtown areas?
In recent years, US-owned airlines have closed almost all of their windows downtown. International carriers that fly the most for the U.S. – Air Canada, Lufthansa, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic – seem to maintain many (all?) These offices or the United States or their country of origin. But here Washington, DC and New York and Chicago, some international airlines still have windows. Although it is possible that a small fraction Population flying TACA / can not use the Internet or telephone, however, people of Qatar and Japan are probably at least as likely that Americans are ready to buy tickets on the telephone or online. However, airlines from these countries to maintain counters of downtown here in DC I realize that these offices sometimes sell things in addition to airline tickets – I bought a Japan Rail pass me in the office of the ANA – but these things can hardly pay the bills for lease in downtown expensive. Theories?
DC does not really seem to have a lot of wickets. I find it's great practice. Remember, some foreign airlines are government owned, so they can make care bills =] Oh and just so you know, Air France still has a few wickets left the United States, but they are one of the few non-Asian carriers.
