British Railway Modelling

Can someone please help me to solve and explain how the word model algebraic problem?
Please? I tried to understand how to do it, and I was stuck. How do I do? I would really appreciate any help I can get! The Channel Tunnel links the United Kingdom and France by a rail tunnel under the English Channel. The British began Tunnel 2.5 months before the French and kilomenter Average 0.63 per month. The French average 0.47 km per month. When the two sides met, they were 37.9 km in tunnel. How many miles from the tunnel on both countries not to build? If the French tunnel began February 28, 1988, about when the two sides meet? If could someone please help me solve this and explain step by step how to solve this problem (using terms better, because I'm not the brightest> _ <), I would really appreciate it! Thank you very much. xoxoxo ~ good day
For French Tunneled ~ 33.02 months to November 28, 1990 t = time (for French) in T = time + 2.5 months (British) months 1) 0.63 km / TH * (T + 2.5) * T + 0.47) = 37.9 km 2) factor (km / month * MTH MTH =) then we get: 1.575 km = 0.47T + 0.63T + 37.9 km 3) Combine like terms: 1.1T + 1.575 km = 37.9 km 4) 1.575 km Subtract from both sides: for 1.1T = 36.325 5) Divide both sides by 1.1: For T ~ 33.02 months 33 months = 2 Years 9 months and 33.02 for T Connect, France and Britain Tunneled Tunneled 15.52 km 22.38 km
