Were the best of British steam Locomotives 1920s and 30s built by the Great Western Railway?
Great Western men would always say that they have been the best (and by the way, the answer is foreign to them to build their Locomotive was the biggest pile of claptrap I've seen in a long time – what was SWINDON About – A city railway built specially to house all the workers at the plant GWR! ! !) – Although they were very good, the LNER and the LMS came with some crackers "- Does anyone mention the Scots" flying "or" Mallard "??? The GWR had some good locomotives – as well as the SR elsewhere, but they have never had the need to build locomotives speed long distance, then I fear the other two must surely be (almost) ex-aequo in the "Who were the best "competition!
