Heljan Class 47 pick-up problem?

I have a Heljan class 47 which was not used that much. It does not seem perceive the strength of the tracks very well on straight sections of track, then speeds up again on the curves. Sometimes it stops almost the end of a long straight … no doubt the momentum of coaches continues to grow. It is obviously related to the angle of the axes by better contact when on a curved track. What should I do / where do I need to clean it? – Please describe in simple terms. I have no problem with the largest number I Bachmann Locomotives. Obviously I want to get this annoying Heljan Bachmann sold to obtain.
