English Railway Journeys
How are crowded Trains in Italy – the two Italian railways and Eurail?
I'm traveling to Italy in another three days and plan to cover all major cities by Train. Can someone guide me stay in Italy on these points: a) crowded trains … Is it difficult to become very / out with baggage train /? b) Persons other than having to get out easily or are they blocking I / O such that passengers have to sneak in / out? c) Are there peak hours for the crowds? … so I can avoid these times if possible. d) How long trains stopping at stations? e) What precautions should I take the trains to be and feel safe? … I heard there mucate thso bag entering, pick pocketing etc f) Is it possible to book tickets while buying tickets for short journeys? g) Persons in Italy understand English? How do I contact? After taking all the reservations, I'm starting to develop cold feet.
a. The trains are very busy with tourists at this time of year. Make a seat reservation and you'll be OK. B. Should not be a problem, you will be inter city trains, not commuter rail. C. Book your place. D. Generally between 3 and 10 minutes depending on the decision. There will be an intercom message before the train arrives at the station, and you begin to move toward the doors when you hear this message. e. If you travel between cities, there will be some problems. Just Do not leave your luggage unattended, but everyone will have a designated seat, so you sit in the comfort and safety. Keep your valuables such as passport, credit / debit, travel documents on you at all times, and ensure that they are secure. f. What do you consider a trip? If you're just tourism in a city you're unlikely to have luggage with you, and you can not reserve a seat on public transport in the city. During tourist trips to go outside of a city, you can usually get a reservation. G. Some do, some do not. Get a small English-Italian phrase book that will give you quotes on how to reserve tickets, etc. If you can not get out, just see the expression on the crew. Even if they do not speak English, they are used to tourists who do not speak Italian and help you. just read that you made train reservations, it means you have seat reservations, So you should have no problems whatsoever. Just relax and enjoy a wonderful holiday:. Just a note there is no Eurail train. Eurail is just the company that sells tickets. Italian trains are run by the Italian rail company Trenitalia natiional.
