The London Underground – the first underground railway

My family tree has been traced back to the kings of England the early 7th century AD. It gave me an interest in English history, which is very fun to research. I am a descendant Sir Christopher Wren direct and have many ancestors of London.

The transport system now known as the London Underground began in 1863 with the Metropolitan Railway, the world's first underground railway. Over the next forty years, the first lines of the basement reached from the urban center of the capital in the surrounding rural margins, leading to the development of new suburban neighborhoods.

At the end of 19th and early 20th century, new technologies, including electric Locomotives and improving the shield tunnel has enabled new businesses to construct a series of "Tube" Deeper Underground lines. Initially competitors, railroad companies began to cooperate in the tube Advertising and the common brand image, possibly under the consolidation of the unique property of electric railway lines in London with stretching across London.
