What was the route followed by the LNER Class A4 Mallard?
Has it ever occurred to Carlisle
Mallard used for travel on the main line of the East Coast (London to Edinburgh). He was on the flats of Lincolnshire that it set his world record speed for a Steam Train that still exists today. It may have come to Carlisle on a public relations exercise, but not normally service on the West Coast.
