The Indian Railway System is the second largest network Railway world, there are over 62.300 km of track were laid between 7000 stations. History of Indian Railways
Indian Railways has been established by the British. In year 1853 that the first train ran on the tracks of Indians. It was a train with 14 cars and there were about 400 people, this train left Bori Bunder for Thane (Mumbai), a 21-gun salute was given this opportunity. The 3 Locomotives know Sindh Sultan Sahib and lifted. The trip has been completed in one hour and fifteen minutes. This is the first commercial passenger known that was given to India. In fact, Thomason, a steam Locomotive was used to transport building materials Roorkee.
Falkland was the second locomotive that came into India. This has been in use by contractors of GIPR in the exercise of their maneuvers. It was later known as GIPR loco # 9. The third locomotive which came to India was Vulcan is said that this locomotive was used by the GIPR for triage and transport equipment.
In the year 1853, the first train All started from Howrah station and left for Hooghly, which is at a distance of 24 miles. The inauguration of the railway has begun from here on the east side of the country.
In the year 1856, the first line was opened by the League of paths Iron Madras. This line was conducted between Walajah Veyasarpandy Road and is at a distance of 63 miles. The year 1959 marked the beginning of paths iron in the northern part of the country. The first line has been placed in Allahabad to Kanpur, which was 119 miles long. In 1857, the first part of Hathras Road Mathura cantonment was to open. These are some steps to expand the railway network in India.
