It is a disgusting rainy day where I live, I gotta go the store to return the steamer in a little bit and my son wants to cook. He is 5, so I thought we were making cookies. I always cheat and buy the kind you throw in the oven. I can not decide what kind! chocolate chip sounds good, but I was wondering if there was something further we could do for them to make them a little different … Any dessert recipes that you really need to cook or bake would be appreciated! Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 / 2 cup butter 1 / 2 cup white sugar 1 / 3 cup packed brown sugar 1 / 2 cup peanut butter vanilla c. Tea 1 / 2 extract 1 egg 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 tbsp teaspoon baking soda 1 / 4 c. teaspoon salt oats 1 / 2 cup flaked a cup of semisweet chocolate chips Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium bowl, beat together butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in peanut butter, vanilla and egg until well blended mix flour, baking soda and salt and mix the batter just until moistened. Mix in oats, chips and chocolate until evenly distributed. Drop by tablespoons lightly grease cookie sheets. Bake in oven for 8-9 minutes until the edges begin to brown (Sometimes only takes 8 minutes!) Cool on cookie sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to rack to cool completely.
