I feel that James Watt, Richard Trevithick and George Stephenson were all credited but in fact one of those invented?
Richard Trevithick invented the first Steam Locomotive, you might find this interesting: Stephenson http://www.cottontimes.co.uk/trevithicko.htm claim to fame came later when he ran a successful first Train pulled by steam. James Watt was stationary "Engine" man.
