Steam Locomotive Weight

steam locomotive weight
Trucks carry a residue on a load bearing steam Locomotive?

tose wondering if two trucks weight supported, I do not think they do, but im not sure. Furthermore, why do not small switch engines and leading truck residues. And one more small detail, if you take the truck residue An off locomtive would it really matter?

They help guide the locomotive into curves and distribute the weight on the track. This is particularly necessary for Locomotives traveling at high speed. On the other hand, the switching engine to travel at low speeds and it is generally preferable to have felt the full weight on adhesive wheel drive, plus the engine is slow if necessary, for example a truck driven to the guide curves. Trailing trucks are mainly to support the heavy structure of the home and cabin, on some engines it is part of the mainframe to say a 0-6-0 or 0-8-0 while on other it extends back and needs the support of A 2 – or 4-wheel truck.
