Lone Star is the name used by the British company Die Cast Machine Tools Ltd. (CDCD) for its toys.
From 1949 the company has manufactured the die cast toys for children. The name of the "Lone Star" was chosen because the high demand at the time was for Toy guns and rifles trained by western movies in all cinemas in Britain. The company has also tie-in toy guns licensed James Bond films and The Man from UNCLE series.
Other early models included a large number of toy soldiers painted by hand and digits, mostly military, with cowboys and Indians American figures. Other figures have been allowed to leave children's series Noddy and included, Popeye and Zorro. Initially the soldiers were made hollow cast lead, but later changed to plastic.
Lone Star has started to produce small cars in 1960 with a full range expanding metal diecast cars with names like "Lone Star Flyers" and the superb range of OO scale (1/76th) Lone Star vehicles Impy. They followed the example set by Dinky Toys and entered the diecast model airplanes in 1959 with the series 2-2-0 jet liners Modern 1/220th scale.
Under the "Lone Star Locos" name, they have produced (OOO scale) of 2 mm for the contour of the foot British and American models push along Trains 1957.9 mm track gauge and a series of station buildings diecast. It was followed in 1960 by "Treble-0-Lectric" electric models work of two British diesel Locomotives, Class 24 Diesel Sulzer Type 2 and Class 23 2 Napier Type "Baby Deltic" diesel, an American 0-8-0 Baldwin steam Locomotive and a style of General Motors FA Bo-Bo Diesel Electric locomotive that was available in both United States and delivered to the United Kingdom. Vacuum-formed bases were available to form "instant" scenic layouts and these can be purchased separately or in sets.
The electric Train models have been very well received in the Press Model Railroad at the time and most showed 2mm viable system could be designed foot, manufactured and marketed the United Kingdom. Lone Star Treble-O-Lectric trains mainly introduces the concept that later became the British "N" class, 10 years ahead of the competition.

The Prime Minister has been taken from British High Street chain store Woolworths. unsold inventory was finally cleared from the warehouse Hatfield in 1988, ensuring a whole new lease of life for the system of new collectors have begun to look at Lone Star.
Today there is a dynamic Lone Star collectors circle which can be regularly seen displaying full working model train set using only equipment Lone Star throughout the United Kingdom and occasionally in Europe and Canada too.
In 2009, Lone Star guns CAP are once more widely available, the name and original logo are used by a German manufacturer with a good spread across Europe.
